Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about buying tickets, managing your account, and hosting events on DashTicket.

Getting Started

DashTicket is Bhutan's secure event ticketing platform. We connect event organisers with audiences by providing a trusted, end-to-end system for selling, purchasing, and verifying tickets. Every ticket issued through DashTicket carries a unique QR code that cannot be duplicated — eliminating counterfeit tickets at the gate.

Click 'Sign Up' at the top right of the page. You'll need to provide your full name, email address, phone number, nationality, and a valid Citizenship Identity Card (CID) number if you are a Bhutanese citizen. International users can sign up using a passport or equivalent national ID. Once submitted, you can start browsing and purchasing tickets immediately.

To create an account you will need: • A valid email address • A phone number (with country code) • For Bhutanese citizens: your 11-digit Citizenship Identity Card (CID) number • For international users: a valid government-issued ID or passport number You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Yes. While DashTicket hosts events based in Bhutan, international attendees can purchase tickets for events that have USD pricing enabled. International payments are processed securely through Stripe, accepting major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and others). Local BTN payments are available via DK Bank for Bhutanese users.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and purchase tickets on DashTicket. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent before registering. Some events may have their own age restrictions set by the organiser — these are shown on the event page.

Buying Tickets

Browse events on the homepage or use the search bar to find a specific event. Click on an event to view its details, then click 'Get Tickets'. You will be guided through selecting your date, ticket type, and quantity, then proceed to checkout. Your ticket reservation is held for a limited window while you complete payment — after which unsold tickets are released back.

DashTicket supports two payment methods: • Local payments (BTN): Processed via DK Bank. Currently the only supported local bank — more banks will be added in future. • International payments (USD): Processed via Stripe, supporting major credit and debit cards. Available for events with USD pricing. Both payment methods display all fees clearly before you confirm your purchase.

DashTicket charges a platform fee of 8% per transaction, with a minimum fee of Nu. 15 per transaction for BTN payments and $2.00 per transaction for USD payments. The minimum fee exists to ensure platform costs are covered for lower-priced tickets — covering payment processing infrastructure, QR verification, and 24/7 support. The fee is always shown clearly before you confirm payment. See our Pricing page for full details.

For international card payments processed via Stripe, Stripe charges a processing fee of 4.85% applied on the combined total of your ticket price plus DashTicket's platform fee, plus a fixed $0.60 per transaction. This fee is charged by Stripe (the payment gateway), not DashTicket. Both DashTicket's platform fee and Stripe's processing fee are displayed separately and clearly before you confirm payment. No surprises at checkout.

The maximum number of tickets per transaction is set by the event organiser. Many events allow up to 5 tickets per transaction. If you need more tickets than the per-transaction limit, you can complete multiple separate transactions.

No. DashTicket never stores your credit card numbers or full bank account details. Card payments are processed entirely by Stripe, which is certified to the highest payment security standard (PCI DSS Level 1). DK Bank handles local BTN payment data under their own security standards. DashTicket only stores the outcome of your transaction (amount, status, timestamp) — not your raw payment credentials.

Tickets & Event Entry

After a successful payment, your tickets appear immediately in your profile under 'My Tickets'. You can access them at any time by clicking your profile icon and selecting 'Tickets'. Each ticket displays a unique QR code — this is what gate staff will scan for entry.

Yes. Each ticket can be downloaded as a PDF from your profile. We recommend downloading your tickets before the event, especially if you expect limited connectivity at the venue. The downloaded PDF contains your QR code and ticket details.

Bring your ticket — either on your phone (the DashTicket app or your profile in a browser) or as a printed PDF — with the QR code clearly visible. You may also be asked to show a valid ID matching the name on your ticket. Bhutanese citizens should bring their CID card. International attendees should bring their passport or national ID.

Different ticket types are sometimes assigned to different entry gates to manage crowd flow. If you arrive at the wrong gate, the scanner will inform you of your correct gate — your ticket will not be invalidated. Check your ticket before arriving at the venue to see your gate assignment, if one is listed.

Ticket transfer availability depends on the event organiser's policy, which is stated on the event page. Some events issue non-transferable tickets as a fraud-prevention measure. If you need to transfer a ticket, check the event's terms or contact the organiser directly.

Refunds & Cancellations

Refund eligibility is primarily set by the event organiser and displayed on the event page before you purchase. DashTicket is a marketplace facilitating transactions between organisers and attendees — we are not the organiser of the events listed. For full details on when refunds are available and how to request one, see our Refund Policy.

If an event is cancelled by the organiser and does not take place, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket face value plus DashTicket's platform fee. Note that Stripe processing fees (for international payments) are non-refundable as Stripe does not return them. DashTicket will notify you by email and initiate the refund process. Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 7–14 business days.

If an event is postponed to a new date, your ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend the new date, contact the organiser directly — they may offer a refund at their discretion. For more detail, see our Refund Policy.

Platform fees are refunded when an event is cancelled by the organiser. They are generally not refunded for voluntary refunds granted under the organiser's own policy — the platform fee is charged for use of the Platform infrastructure regardless of attendance. See our Refund Policy for the full breakdown.

No. Stripe's processing fees (4.85% of the subtotal + $0.60) are non-refundable in all circumstances. This is Stripe's policy — they do not return processing fees on refunds, including in the case of organiser cancellations. DashTicket has no control over this. This is clearly disclosed in our Refund Policy.

For Event Organisers

Sign up or log in, then access the Organiser Dashboard. Click 'Create Event' and fill in your event's details: title, description, date(s), venue, ticket types, pricing, and capacity. Once submitted for review, your event will be published and visible to buyers. You can edit event details at any time before tickets go on sale.

DashTicket charges a platform fee of 8% per transaction, with a minimum of Nu. 15 for BTN transactions and $2.00 for USD transactions. This fee is charged to the ticket buyer at checkout — it is shown transparently before payment and does not come out of your ticket revenue. For international card payments, Stripe's processing fee (4.85% of subtotal + $0.60) is also shown to the buyer at checkout. See our Pricing page for the full breakdown.

In your Organiser Dashboard, go to 'Team' to add team members. You can assign two roles: • Organiser: Full dashboard access — can manage events, view analytics, and handle settings. • Scanner: Can only scan and verify tickets at event entry. They cannot access financial data or event settings. Team members receive an email invitation to join. You can revoke access at any time.

Payouts are processed within 7 business days after your event concludes. For multi-day events, payouts are processed after the final day. Ensure your bank account details in your Organiser Settings are accurate before your event. Contact hello.dashtickets@gmail.com if you have questions about a specific payout.

When creating or editing your event, you can specify your refund policy in the event settings. This policy is displayed to buyers on the event page and at checkout, so they know the terms before purchasing. Be clear and specific — for example: 'No refunds within 48 hours of the event' or 'Full refund up to 7 days before the event'. If an event is cancelled, DashTicket's cancellation policy applies regardless of your stated policy — buyers receive a full refund of ticket price and platform fee.

Account & Security

Log in and go to your Profile, then select 'Settings'. You can update your password there. You will need to enter your current password to set a new one. Your new password must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character. If you have forgotten your password, use the 'Forgot Password' link on the login page to reset it via your registered email.

We collect the information you provide during signup (name, email, phone, CID/ID, nationality), transaction data (purchases, payment method type, order history), and technical data (IP address, browser, device type) for security and analytics purposes. We do not store your card number or full bank account details. We do not sell or rent your personal data. For the complete picture, see our Privacy Policy.

To request account deletion, email hello.dashtickets@gmail.com from your registered email address with the subject line 'Account Deletion Request'.
